Plan to transfer to a Hosting Service

I have been blogging for a long time now, thought I have been using free blogging services, I have been thinking of getting my own domain name and a hosting service where I can put my files and do whatever what I like. Not to mention to have control over my visitors and setting up different pages.

There are so many web hosting that provides cheap hosting and & reseller web hosting services. Also, I am looking for 99.99% uptime per month which is really very important for blogging that updates their contents frequently.

I have found this cheap web hosting services that can provide my needs, I have been looking for budget web hosting around the internet and found lypha hosting service, I have look at their package which is very good and compatible of the specs I have need. I know that there are many hosting offers out there but it is worth a try though, they have a complete 30 day money back guarantee which is very good. If I have the opportunity to go with it then this is the one I will try.

Dial-up Connection Experience

Being online is very important to me this days as it is not only part of my work but rather a way of connection to my friends, classmates, cousins, fellow bloggers,n relatives and everyone I knew.

Of course, how the internet perform is very important, believe it or not, I am posting this blog right now using a Dial-up connection. I have this Dial-connection for more than five years, I didnt bother getting a DSL or Broadband Connection, It just that I get used to it.(at least I can still post to blogger), but I have been thinking in getting an DSL or Broadband. I dont know if it is worth it. I’m not fond of downloading videos or music, I only check my emails, blogs, and chat a bit. I dont really see it an urgency to have a very fast connection.

Come to think of it, this connection saved me lot of trouble especially in my student years (that wasn’t a long time ago you know). If it hadn’t for this connection, I wouldn’t have graduated in my computer course,right?…(“silence”),hmmm..okay, some might not agree with me…I know someday I’ve got to move on and transfer to more civilized way of connecting online (Im not that primitive looking you know..haha). I really would like to type/post more but my dial-up prepaid account is almost out, (damn limited internet). Anywayz, thats all for today, little quote for you. :-)

“Just be thankful of your internet connection even sometimes it stinks because there are people (like yours truly) who have slower internet connections than you” Bow

Virtual or Online Friends

Ever since I was introduced to computers, I have known different people from around the world. Come to think of it. If I count my number of friends online and friends in the real world. The number of online friends is catching up fast.

Many are using the Internet all over the world. Not only are they using it for finding information, they are also using the Internet as a way to meet new people and to make new friends. The Internet allows people from all over the world to talk about their lives and to form new relationships with each other through social networking sites, blogs, forums and more.

Virtual friends can serve many different purposes in your life. One is treat your online/virtual friend as merely a friend, while some see them as a love interest and even of you have boyfriends or girlfriends online (usually popular in the States, but also increasing here in the Philippines).

Though some get lucky meeting that special someone online but it is rare and usually the it is not lasting. It is best to prefer people you actualy meet and talk in person as there is a huge difference in just sitting imagining someone you havent met. So becareful when meeting people online and always consider security and safety for both online users.

Linux Savior Command

I have been using Linux for almost a year and during these times, I’ve encountered various problems in the OS (“Not the general OS in particular”), but some glitches due to my negligence sometimes. =). I like experimenting on my linux like changing colors, layouts, graphics and more.

One time, I was experimenting on running Beryl/compiz on Linux, unfortunately, I’ve change/overwrite some of the major settings or file in the OS, resulting from not working properly just a black screen. Thats what happens when you edited the xserver configuration or the xorg, the OS will not start as it should be. Only black screen with a prompt shell command.

I have a hardtime trouble shooting it, As well as I am not yet an experience Linux user at that time. I have search all over the net on solutions, many did not solve the problem. Then I have encountered this command which I think solve everything. The

sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg

Is all I need to solve. I dont if I will still elaborate it to you, maybe youll get sleepy or what, just remember Linux users if you similar problem like mine, just enter this command.

Probably one of the most important command to Linux out there. Well thats all
