Search Engine Friendly Content

Once you’ve improved your existing copy or post in your blog, it’s time to think about how you create copy in the future. The technique is simple – use keyword research as the inspiration for what you write. For example if you find people are looking for ‘friendster designs or multiply themes’(which is popular here in the Philippines) you may decide to write a piece of content such as ‘Free Friendster themes or Free Multiply layout’.

When you use keyword research for inspiration for your writing, you’ll know that people are genuinely interested in what you’re going to write and that you can create search engine friendly copy in record time.

Here’s a simple way of planning what you should write:

1. Get your list of important keywords again (Choose which has a more demand).
2. Write down a list of major customers needs in your industry
3. Match a keyword with a major customer need and draw up a list of article titles
4. Get writing and publish your articles.

Most Popular Blog Widgets

Blogging has never been so popular today and the need of spreading the news and your blog is getting popular these days, there are already many tools around there in promoting blogs and getting as much traffic as possible and one of the most popular tools are online/social bookmarking widgets and also help in the SERP.

Widgets work like displaying a particular post post/blog in a container that is related to your blog or topic, it is like an external link but it revolves around the blog/site with that particular widget, your site will post automatically to another site with the same widget depending on what community you are in or a member with.

These sites offer the most popular blog widgets today and most of all, they are free. (My preference).

1. Blogrush

Pros: This is one of the that dominate the widget market today, their services are good and generate good topic in terms of publishing blogs. It is easy to join and it is free. The blogs or links they generate are of good quality, It needs approval before it can be approved.

Cons: You cannot edit the widget layout, to few accessiblity to its fellow users, like communities, social bookmarkings. Few options to choose to promote in its members.

2. Blog Catalog

Pros: It is the most popular social networking site and widget today. Its growth is quite phenomenal. According to Alexa, BlogCatalog traffic has superseded Yahoo’s own MyBlogLog. BlogCatalog is currently ranked at 1,151 and an estimated to have 100,000 or more visitors. There are currently 73,000 blogs currently registered on BlogCatalog. It also has a PageRank of 7 which shows its authority on Google.

Cons: To many menus/buttons, confusing to beginners (sorry thats all I can say).

3. MyBlogLog

Pros: It is a social bookmarking that is getting popular fast and as result bought by google for 10 million dollars, It has a very good interface when it comes to customizing widgets and it is easy to use, a lot of traffic is also generated and has a lot of community to choose from

Cons: Its popularity is declining for unknown reasons, maybe the competition is getting rough or many are switching to other widgets, it is not as consistent as mentioned above. It is free but the features are not as full as the payed account.

Here you go, these are my list, there are still more out there and appearing in the web, it will help a lot in SEO your pages, just be careful in putting widgets as it may or sometimes affect the loading times of some blogs, but its still feasible if you want to have a high traffic in the blogosphere.

Posting A Blog Topic

Originality is the keyword here, any topic you choose can be a topic of another blog, but the different thing here is creativity, it takes a single blogger to write his OWN opinion or ideas and It is rarely duplicated by anyone. I have seen blogs that are copied from other blogs as in word per word. It is okay to rephrase a certain topic or article but then you must add your own opinion or something to make it more active.

The great thing is that everyone and I mean anyone can comment or respond to your post (except when you change settings). But the purpose here is to show the world or internet world that you exist and there is always a story to tell and other opinions to that topic.

Who cares if the feedbacks/comments are bad and spam, some might send harsh or dirty words. It is all part of blog game. Credibiliy here is important . The originality or genuinity of a topic can establish you as a true blogger and can go far far away in the blogging realm.

My blog quote for the day. “Originality is next to blogliness”-jerminix

Blogger Vs Wordpress

VS
The two top and the most popular blogging services offered in the web today. I just can’t help to think on which of which is better. I admit that I used wordpress as first my blog.

*The reason is that Wordpress is much more customizable blog (Which is good for more technical bloggers), you can adjust just almost every part of your blog, It has also many features/widgets to choose from.

The interface is also good especially in the categories and tag together. The downside is that layout is limited which is sad.

*But I have seen Blogger improve its layout interface especially in the comment form. Indexing is also easy as it is owned by no other than the undisputed king of Search Engines Google(Sorry yahoo). The interface is simple even if your not an IT person. And most importantly one of most important widget of all the Adsense (probably) can be added easily in the blog

These are just my opinion. (who cares anyway..lolz). As far is blogging are concerned, I would probably go to Blogger (Not because I’m currently in blogger), But I speak not only in Blogging but the whole blogging market which I say it is has the bigger in the world wide web and source of information as well.

Am I really Blogging?

The articles I have post are really in random basis, When I see an interesting article or topic for the web, I modify a little a paste it on my blog. Though some may think of it as a scraping of data or just plain copying of ideas (pirated).

The whole idea of blogging for me is not just about posting whatever you want in order to gain audience or visitors or worst to market or promote a site ( spamming in short). It is a way were people meet around the globe sharing ideas, experiences, happiness, joy, laughter, weird, facts coming from the people itself posting the topic in their blogs (wow thats hard).

Well the truth of the matter is blogging is just way of sending the message to the whole world that they/it exists. It really is a simple psychology where people want to see other people do stuffs (even the crazy ones). We are a curious creature you know. and what blogging is all about…

Why Blogging?

A question I also ask to myself, Honestly, I am not fund of writing articles. I got into blogging just by accident. I think of this only as a part of my work. I was assigned first in SEO(Search Engine Optimization) and I have to find a way to promote the company’s site either in the no of indices and page ranks in google, It is rather a difficult task more than I thought. I have tried eveything from writing forums, social bookmarks, web directories and still not enought success.

And I have observe that blogs have a very high online traffic, and I can build links easily through posting the links of the site. I have also encountered some bloggers that are just like me in terms of field of work. It help rise my websites indices and much more, I got to meet a lot people in the web whether they are in the Philippines or not.

Blogging is not about just expressing yourself, it is a kind of lifestyle where people can share their thoughts and feelings without any hindrances or barriers.
